Pimpri-Chinchwad and the Ganpati Mandals that are Must-Visit

One of the best places to be in Maharashtra during the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi is at Pimpri-Chinchwad, in Pune. The locality has been hosting some of the most famous community Ganesh Pujas down the years. The first of the Ganesh Chaturthi pujas is conducted at the Kasba Ganapati Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, which was started from 1893 and which is done entirely by women down the ages.

The other name worth mentioning in Pimpri-Chinchwad is that of the Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust. The celebrations are done in lavish scale and social and cultural events are also held along with the main Puja.
