Back to HomepageIndians living in London are very concerned about the celebration of Ganesh Utsav. The celebrations for Ganesh Chaturthi can be seen in Indian neighborhoods and even in Ganesh utsav Mandals. There are quite a few Hindu temples too that celebrate Ganesh Utsav in a grand manner.
The Indian community at Hunslow’s Laxmi Narayan temple is known for celebrating the festival with fellow Indians living nearby. South hall is a prominent locality and the Vishnu Hindu temple there celebrates the Lord Ganesha’s festival in the exact same way as done in India. The immersion is usually at River Thames by taking the idol in a procession and with a lot of merriment.
